Dream Analysis![]() |
Paragraph 1 The subject of dream analysis is of particular interest to me as it helps me to understand and evaluate my dreams. Dream analysts believe that recording one\'s dreams helps us better understand our feelings and our sub-conscious thought process. Paragraph 2 Before we actually go into depth on analyzing dreams, I suppose we should try to understand why it is that we dream. Dreams have been a mystery to mankind. The stuff of legends, myths and fairy tales, and dreams have always fascinated us. We can learn so much from our dreams, if we only listen with a trained ear. There is nothing psychic about understanding dreams. There is a certain degree of intuition, coupled with logic and a working knowledge of the dreaming involved. Paragraph 3 Dreams are a communication of body, mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. Dreams are a vehicle in which your mind communicates ideas, warnings and health issues. Sometimes they even communicate the future. Paragraph 4 The simple and easiest way to start interpreting your dreams is by maintaining a dream journal. Every morning as soon as you wake up record everything you can recall that happened in your dream. Take special care to note down the ambience, the weather, the lighting and the colors. You can establish the basic theme of your dream and that just requires common sense. Let\'s say for example, in your dream something is being destroyed, perhaps an old building or a painting. You wake up feeling dreary as something precious to you is being destroyed. If you act upon this dream, maybe you can save it. Your dreams are usually selfish, meaning that they are about you specifically a good 90 percent of the time. With that in mind, you should be able to tie in the theme to some particular area of your life. Paragraph 5 Analyzing dreams with universal symbols Animals: They symbolize our own traits - good and bad. When you see an animal doing something in your dreams it usually represents a bad trait. It is far easier for us to accept and watch an animal doing something negative than to take the credit for it ourselves. Paragraph 6 Automobiles or vehicles: Vehicles that you ride in usually reflect two things: the direction you are heading in life and your body. Paragraph 7 Children: To most of us, a child represents something new, different and joyous. Paragraph 8 ![]() Paragraph 9 Death: Nearly every dream you have that refers to death, dying or attending a funeral or the like, pertains to change. Paragraph 10 Buildings: The building in a dream usually points directly to a specific area of your life. It pertains to a particular environment. Paragraph 11 People: People most often portrayed in dreams are actually reflections of your own personality traits, provided the dream is not prophetic. Paragraph 12 Dreams are very efficient. This means, they can address multiple issues on multiple topics all in one story line! A dream can warn you of health dangers, predict the future, point out personality flaws (or credits) and solve a current problem all in one dream! Some dreams are worthy of repeated analysis, and just because you can come up with two or three interpretations, does not mean that only one can be right. In fact, they could all easily be right.
